Sheetal is a pharmacist and qualified Lifestyle Medicine professional with more than 25 years’ experience across hospital, community, primary care and national roles. She is passionate about embedding lifestyle medicine safely and practically within mainstream healthcare, with particular interests in medicines optimisation, behaviour change, women’s health and reducing harm associated with overprescribing.
She currently holds a Chief Pharmaceutical Officer’s Fellowship with the Royal College of Pharmacy and Macmillan Cancer Support, where she works across strategic planning, stakeholder engagement and guidance development. She is also leading a UK wide polypharmacy project focused on people living with cancer and long term conditions, with a particular interest in the multidisciplinary approach to deprescribing.
A long standing member of the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine, Sheetal values multidisciplinary collaboration and the role of lifestyle medicine in improving long term health outcomes. Alongside her clinical and leadership work, she has contributed to national programmes focused on equity, inclusion and professional development within pharmacy.
She brings a collaborative, thoughtful and solutions focused approach, alongside experience in policy, education and translating complex clinical information into practical guidance.
